Weekend trips are a great way of ticking more places off your bucket list and if you bring your dog with you it can make for some perfect quality time!

We’ve rounded up a list of our favourite dog-friendly weekend trips, read on to find out more.

The Peak District

The picturesque scenes of The Peak District make it a bucket-list destination for many, and it is a great dog-friendly trip for adventurous pups that love to explore!

You can find many cosy dog-friendly cottages and hotels to stay in and rest up after your long walks, and there are lots of little villages to explore.

Make sure to visit Mam Tor at sunrise for the most beautiful view and memories to last a lifetime.

Cornwall

If idyllic beaches are more of your kind of thing, Cornwall is perfect! With lively seaside towns and sandy beaches, you and your dog will love exploring and taking in the sights.

With over 300 beaches, you will never get bored and the subtropical microclimate means it is lovely and sunny in the summertime, so we recommend visiting in the Spring or Summer months.

Pay a visit to The Eden Project and explore the range of tropical plants on display.

Scotland

Another dog-friendly trip we’d recommend is Scotland. With everything from mountains to forests and moorlands, there is so much to see and do!

Whether you are after a city break in bustling Edinburgh or are planning to take an exhilarating hike, there is something for everyone, and every dog, in Scotland – making it the perfect place for a weekend away with a dog.

Ireland

Ireland is a popular destination for dog-friendly trips and there is so much to do depending on where you choose to visit.

Visit Dublin for a busy city break, or opt to travel to Clare for some stunning coastal walks and cliffside views that you and your pooch can both enjoy. Make sure to pay a visit to Kilkee Cliffs for a view of the shimmering sea.

Wales

Wales truly is the epitome of picturesque scenery and rich culture. This is the perfect destination for a weekend away with a dog as you have so much to see and do.

Soak up the culture of Cardigan Castle and learn about 900 years of Welsh history and venture around the gardens with your four-legged friend at your side. This attraction is a must-see if you decide to embark on a dog-friendly trip to Wales!
